So I'm having a time trying to find the Yamaha part YM-4106. My local dealer wants almost $200 for the tool, probably because it is for such an old bike.

Does anybody have this tool kicking around that they'd sell or got any recommendations on where to find one?

Is it the shim-under-bucket or shim-on-bucket design?

It is shim on bucket.  I can see them!

I've done this just now.

Filtering by my bike's year and model doesn't show any shim tools that look like they'd work but maybe the TT store can help identify one that will work.

Here's one at a price you'd expect for a tool made of unobtainium . :)

That's exactly it.  It costs $189 at the Yamaha dealer, so I guess $89 for this piece of metal is a good deal.

The TT store doesn't carry this tool so I guess this is what I have to do.

Thanks for finding it, I'd scoured what I thought was every motorcycle website on the Internet but I guess I missed this one.

Maybe you should save the hundred bucks you'd spend on that little tool and use the tools pictured to adjust the valves . I use them on my XT and my CB750 which has 16 valves . If you were doing valve adjustments everyday it might be worth buying . But , how often do you think you'll use it ?
