I looked for an answer on the forums but couldn't find exactly what I need. I just bought a CRF 150F and I picked it up CHEAP. Everything on it is solid. The problem with it is that someone put what I believe to be older CR 125/250 forks on it with the 21 inch wheel. The problem with this is, besides looking stupid, is that the forks need rebuilding and the wheel bearings are worn slap out. Yeah, I could fix whats there but it looks dumb. So my question is, what would be a direct replacement for these forks? Besides 150F forks because they are expensive. I want to spend very little on this project. I read on the forums that cr 80/85 forks need some modification. Any suggestions guys? I was looking into TTR 125L forks and front wheel as it is a 19" wheel with disc brake. Let me know guys, and keep in mind I'm going cheap, real cheap.

KX 85 forks will work on it. Do a search...you shouldn't have a hard time finding it. In my opinion the best forks for these bikes are CRF150R forks. But money is tight nowadays so go KX style. Sweet dreams!

So the KX 85 forks work? Is that with the CRF triples? or does that have to be swaped also? The KX stuff is suprisingly cheaper than the CRF forks. If this is a no modification swap, it looks like the cheapest option.
