2003 arctic cat firecat 700 is it a good sled?

Nope, I thought mine was to big and heavy, felt underpowered compared to a few other sleds I had ridden. It wasn't bad for reliability though.

I completely disagree with the previous poster.
I worked at a cat dealer for a number of years and, in my opinion, the old chassis 03-07 f-sleds were some of the best machines cat ever made. The F7 easily outpowers larger sleds and was the fastest thing on snow for a number of years, even after it went out of production. They are dead simple, claw hammer reliable, cheap to repair and they are very small and light. Not a great off trail sled due to the narrow and short track, but a fantastic trail sled.
I worked at a cat dealer for a number of years and, in my opinion, the old chassis 03-07 f-sleds were some of the best machines cat ever made. Who rides a 700 on groomed trails? I bought mine as a mountain sled and it just wasnt up to par with what was out there....

^^^this^^^ thats why they have good resale value. I may be wrong but I think the 03 F7 was the fastest outa the F's.

they're alright. cross fires are more comfortable and have a lot more pep with simple clutching gearing and exhaust

The F7 in 03 was a sweet machine. Plenty of horsepower. Could outrun 800cc triples. In 03 that thing was like a top fuel dragster.
