As my dad ( 8 yrs USMC), my uncles ( one was in for 25 yrs and the other for 20 yrs) would always tell me............The Navy uses guns and the Marines use rifles. And that a Marine is a weapon. :)

I disagree

That new WR450 without the backwards "motor" would probably be a better moto weapon than the current YZ450. It has that old school 450 engine in a YZ250f frame
So the backwards engine is the problem in your eyes? :)

Another thing that is not the old 450 engine in the new WR, please think before you speak or at least know what you are talking about.

I don't think the engine is the problem

It's the airbox that's the problem

It's the chassis, too harsh in the lower chassis and the steering neck flexes too much making the bike unpredictable when you push it. Tilting the motor backwards only gives the bike more of a 2 stroke front end feel. Do you remember when 4 strokes first came II and EVERYONE complained about how heavy the front end felt?

If you knew half of what you think you do you would understand that it's the airbox

Engines run on gasoline (some on the oily stuff)  and many make smoke, Lectric motors run on smoke , and when the smoke gets out the motor is shot, then its time for a rebuild.

I agree, honestly air box more weight in the front, flipping motor would also change the inertia Id think. :)

It's all about the density of the foam. I hear that the pleated paper filters are just the ticket for curing the overheating shock problem
