When RD fell I thought it was over then he's right on his ass again
I never saw Alessi look back but he knew where Ryan was the whole moto

That guy used every line on the track and some off the track trying to get around MA but couldn't get it done in the 1st moto. I was routing for Alessi but couldn't believe how fast Ryan caught back up to him after the spill. Then Ryan blows him off after the finish. I thought that was BS but I get that he was pissed at himself. He made up for it in moto two
That first moto was AWSOME
RD might have looked at it differently than we did, here he is racing the entire moto no tear-offs , behind a guy that spends more time crisscrossing the track than going forward, on a track the turned out to be one lined, (two lines entering one exiting). RD was taking chances to pass in his normal clean style, and MA was going for broke, I don't blame MA as I sometimes ride a wide bike when I need to, But I am sure after the crash and close calls ,plus all the energy expended , RD might not want to have a Kumbayah moment and just wanted to get back to the truck. I think MA responses were much more theatrical and he should have went back to his own glory in the win, because I am guessing there is still a dry spell in his future.

That is Dungey's Achilles heel ,James has the crashes, Reed has the fast one day not so much the next ,Villopoto can run fast ,but seems injury prone. Next year will be a new game for all the current 450 riders.

Dungey has never finished off the podium in a championship since his rookie season in the lites class. In that respect he stands alone, not even the current guys in the Lites class even have a chance at that record.

I agree though Dungey is very consistent, James not at all, and RV between the two.

I was at Hangtown, and RD has definitely changed, he has the bike dialed in and makes very few mistakes, he might not put 20 seconds on those guys, but RV, JS or CR would not be putting twenty second gaps on RD5 either,

I think RV would have beat them both the first few rounds

Tip #1 - While in the middle of a crash pay special attention to the location of the gas cap and your appendages....such as the nut sack....in order to prevent loosening or total loss of the said cap
Tip #2 - While behind any rider with a triple digit number pay special attention to the location of their bike at all times. Riders with triple digit numbers (800 for example) tend to vary their lines in order to maintain position on the track
Tip #3 - While perusing riders with a single digit number (7 for example) it is wise to sit back and wait for the inevitable to occur. Such as the infamous limped wristed sprain which is often sustained when a rider of questionable sexuality is distracted while checking out a hefty man toting a camera
Heed these warnings and the 450 National Championship will be thy reward
