JR 50 Wheel Question

I'm looking at a 05 Jr 50 that needs a rear wheel.Will earlier year models have the same wheel/brake set up ? All I've been able to find is a compleate parts bike 1994 that has good wheels and not much else.The price for the parts bike is close to the price of rebuilding the bent wheel that comes with the bike.
