Fair warning if you happened to order your carb from epic. When i ordered mine i was told they would ship out the end of the following week, ordered on friday. They withdrew the money from my account saturday. My carb didnt end up shipping out for over 3 weeks. Wouldnt have been a problem if they would have simply called or sent me an email letting me know what was going on. I had to get into contact with them to find out what was going on and then when i did they never really had any idea when they would be getting parts for the carb not the carb itself. From what i understand they got shorted some orings from a supplier, no big deal but you have to keep your customers in the loop after you have withdrew over $600 from their accounts. I personnaly have a problem with a company withdrawing money from my account before they have the product i have purchased in hand. All said and done im satisfied with them but would not go out of my way to order from them again... i will say when i dealt with eddie over the phone he was awesome but whoever normally answers not so much, got short with me and gave me attitude nearly eveytime i called like i was bugging him. Felt like some needed to remind him i already gave him $600 and was just looking for a status update.

i apologize for the miscommunication on the time frame for the carb. sadly we rely on the only importer for the carbs for information. we just pass along what they tell us.

as far as being charged upon ordering, thats just our poilicy. we have to pay for it just like you do when it ordered. the cabr situation is a tough deal right now. the supply is not keeping up with demand at all.

we are short staffed right as it really hard to find quality help. i could just stick a totally unqualified perons on the phone but that wont help matters. im sure you spoke to ryan. we get alomost 500 phone calls a day. its no excuse but im just giving that out so you can maybe understand why he is short.

I had similar issues in trying to give Epic my money. I'm not even that concerned about having extremely technical people answer phones (would be awesome though), but more just about run of the mill returning calls, getting quotes out, and keeping customers informed; that's admin type work.

I know it's not possible for everyone, but physically going up to the store (north of Denver) was the easiest way I found.

in a average run of the mill shop maybe. everything you listed when it comes to what we do requires a qualified person or it just turns into to me being on the phone which i am too much already.

i realize everyone has a opinion or a better way of running a business which is fine. we appreciate the feedback. we are doing the best we can with what we have. hiring clueless people is not the answer. we have tried it. having a small crew of good guys is far more productive.

also on a previous note, prepaying for special orders is what you will find at most any business.

Sounds really good, have you thought about putting in new cams with the FCR and MRD? Seems good to open up the breathing all the way through?

Eddie i think it was you who i talked to the other day and when i aske if you had them in stock and you said no i just figured i would order it off line that way i know it would be paid for already. I don't mind the waiting cause i have waited almost 3 yrs to get the parts.

Yes i been thinking about getting cams as well as a BB kit. but like everyone has done it just takes time and money!!!!!!

And on a worse note today i found out (after new parts bought) that i will be down  for about 6 months or so due to a tear and a sist in my right shoulder. I am going to have surgery on the 29th of August. so much for getting the new parts on and testing them out.

Note to Eddie: when i did place the order in the notes protion of ordering i did put my set up to include that i would be running the SSW/MRD. Not sure who looks at that stuff but just wanted to let ya know

I did the carb and pipe (yosh ti but very similar gains to the mrd ssw) and while it was a nice boost, but it wasn't until my second round of mods (bb and cams) that I was really happy. If you can swing the 48hp package I'd highly recommend it. I honestly wouldn't want any more power for my drz s.

The same thing happened to me, but took 5 weeks to get my carb. Eddie/ryan are super helpful though, and it wasn't thier fault. Worth the wait IMO.

No it definitely was not their fault by any means but i just have a problem with them taking $600 out of my account and not keeping me informed. I have read enough good things on this forum about them so i wasnt worried and trusted them. From what ryan told me they had roughly 10-15 carbs going out at the same time. Would only take 5 min to send an informative email to all of us letting us know what was going on. Not a big deal just expected more i guess. I also expected the fcr to make a bigger difference than it did. I can now pull power wheelies in 3rd but have to try. I just read so many thing on here about it making it a whole new bike and it did not. Still feels the same just more power slightly better throttle response. I would still recommend the carb if you can afford it and if your gonna get it, get it from eddie.

you can run the mrd with the stock carb. your carb may or may not take 5 weeks. if you want it asap you can call and order it via ryan. you will be charged at that time just like any other special order. that insures your spot in line.

thats exactly what i did, i ordered to get my place in line, I waited a few weeks, then i called and they said that it would be the end of the month until they would get the carbs in. then like 2 days later i got an email that said my order shipped. I was already ready to wait but i didnt have to. All the times i called to check, Plus all the questions they answered that i had and didnt seem to be bothered by it like most places. Completely worth it to me. but now the shop doing my big bore is taking FOREVER. I took my bike there on tuesday even after i gave them plenty of notice and its been sitting there ever since. I could have just kept it and been able to ride until they were ready but now i have no bike until they get time to work on mine. I hate waiting...
