No exact date is ever listed....just "whenever" the ranger district decides. Last several years someone from the district has posted it on here so stay tuned.

They aim for July 15 and adjust the opening per field surveys of the trail. Even if most of the snow is gone, if the trail is wet or muddy, they keep it closed. One or two bikes would not be a problem but Mad River is a popular place and has always been a target for Greenie complaints.
