CHECKING VALVES

What is the best way to turn the engine to check the valves. i have a CD but not very helpful.

jack up the bike, put the bike in a high gear and turn the rear wheel....or remove the ignition cover and turn the flywheel...counterclocwise I believe.

do a youtube search...great how to vids

Easiest to put it in high gear and turn the wheel.  No doubt.

thanks guys!! I have a rekluse clutch so i don't know how that will effect turning the wheel.

You won't be able to turn the wheel to set engine TDC. Pull the ignition cover off and rotate to TDC.

I actually prefer the ignition cover method over the bump the wheel method...more precise.

Its treating me very well as a matter of fact, it feels like its going to pull my arms off it so powerful. LOL!!
