I think that the media treats him just fine.    The media seems pretty objective and isn't really biased.

On the other hand, on the internet forums, its the guys who have never met him, never talked to him and probably never really seen him yet somehow seem to know the most about him that are often too hard and sometimes too lenient.

All I am gonna say is, its because of the media I know James has a stinky weiner.  Things a man has to do to get an interview.

I think he is treated fairly by the media. Sometimes they may given him a bit of slack in the past covering some of his antics due to his popularity and value of the sport. I have never actually talked to him, but have watched him in the pits at Redbud years ago, and again this year. He seems to be a great guy with his fans. I enjoy his interviews, and the comical demeanor he now has. Seems he doesn't take himself so seriously these days, and is more entertaining in many regards. James is in my opinion a very well spoken professional rider, and would likely be fun to hang out with. He's smart enough to realize that now more than ever, need to once again prove his worth on the track. Not just talk the game. Like him or not though, he's still a big asset to our sport.

What would he complain about. Even if he was running 17th in Supercross, he got more airtime than the race leader. It seems the camera is always on Stewart and he is definitely all Shaheen wants to talk about. James does fine with his media coverage.

He is no different then any movie star or figure we all look up to. If you in any type of entertainement field you will be watched. If you screw up it makes a story line and sells news papers and ads. I dont think the media purposely sets him up or looks for him to screw up. Obviously though they know he is bigger news and controversy then say a quiet guy like Dungey. I like Dungey, but he is a rather boring interview and a overall good kid, so he wont make many headlines. Either way they all have a ton of money and a great life, but Im sure it gets tiring.

Take for example JS7's court apperance for the cop impersonation and speeding. That was blown up because he is a star. Evryone in the world probably read about it, family friends, etc. Then take a nobody like me who got busted street racing, spent a night in jail and did community service. Also got busted doing wheelies on street bike on freeway. None of my friends, family or work knew about it unless I told them. It wasnt in the news or even the local paper. So guys like JS7 are treated unfairly to us common folk, but he isnt treated any different then any other sports figure or movie actor. They are all watched and scrutinized.

I have no idea what you're talking about. TT'rs are the most level headed, insightful and balanced group of observers there are. If you read it here, take it to the bank.

I heard Shaheen owns a set of these that he wears when JS is racing.
