BTW, I've found the Rangers up the Entiat Valley to be very tollerant and forgiving EXCEPT for fires when a ban is on..   They are very concerned for the Entiat River Valley because it is a Box Canyon style setting and any fire would trap many people.

That's why I've become good at hiding :)

To me, it would be asinine if I came upon a camper with a 5gallon bucket full of water, a shovel, and a small enclosed campfire in a clearing...and proceded to do anything except tell them to put it out.  IF I get a kook that wants to write a ticket...I'll be pissed.

Anyone looking to get out today or tuesday?

My Bro In Law and i are in Manson on family vacation for a few more days.  Rode Foggy Dew and looking to get out on something a little closer to Manson.  Will have to trailer the two strokes (not plated).

I should rephrase that: he is looking to get out.  Between the safety of my dirt bike rides I thought I'd live on the edge, so i went to the community pool with the family while it was packed with kids. Yeah, I know: dangerous as hell, &%$#@! was i thinking.  Sure enough, some kid jumped in on top of me while I was swimming under water and hyperextended my elbow.

That leaves BiL with two KTMs and no riding partner.

25 mi or ?

Anyone?

TLow,
Can't get out this week, though I could stop by and have coffee in Chelan tomorrow because I'm cruising by on the street bike.

How far did you get on Foggy Dew?  Did you do the loop past Boiling Lake, over Deadman and around Uno Peak?  I was thinking that was pretty snowy yet.

Always up for coffee, thanks, but we seem to have a come up with a halfarsed plan entailing lots of uncertainty. Operation WingIt.

I think one day at the vacation house with extended family will heal my arm injury real quick.  We decdided to go to 25 mi Campground tomorrow and give it a go.  Maybe we can hook up with someone else so if my day is short due to injury, I can kick back in the shade of my van awning while J-Wow rides with some one else...or whatever.

Be suprised if we are out there before 10 or so...who knows when we'll be back; could be early, could be later.

If anyone wants to go, post up and we'll nail down a time.

Jackazz stopped by for dinner the other nite with his lovely wife.  Goodtimes. (We're staying at Wapato Point until Thursday)

We'll probably driving my lifted Astro pulling a black utility trailer with two KTMs, or could be in the whilte Dodge mini van pulling the trailer.

As far as Foggy Dew,  we just got up Foggy Creek, then back down Martin Creek to a big downed tree and turned around.  Nobody at the trailhead, campground all but desserted, only saw one group of two hikers on the trail with perfect moisture content, no dust, great temps and views.

We traded off between his KTM 200 and his KTM 300, both with Rekluse clutch.  My first time with an auto clutch, and while my 450 is fairly light, those little bikes with autos were great for the little trails.  (Think it's time I make an effort to move my '05 450 for a GG 300 with auto clutch :) )

Chris, we're hoping to go Tuesday so we can reserve Wednesday for a family day, then Thursday we're packing up to head home back over the pass...

...I mean things could change but that's the idea at this point anyway.  Check back here Tuesday nite just incase, though.
