I've been right regarding Roger's feelings around James twice now, Roger wants people he can depend on, James is not dependable. If he picks another lites go over Alessi I can understand why he would do so though I wouldn't.

Barcia is the only proven lites rider on the 450. Based solely on his performances last year on the big bike and his consistency this year. Just my opinion but I wouldnt hesitate to take him over anyone else in the 450 class at the moment. He put it to most of the 450 field last year while being the only guy with no experience in that class.

Just as Roger stated, RV and JS are really the only two with the speed to have a legit shot at winning over there and it would take nothing short of a miracle for either of them to make the trip.

I would go with Dungey, Bagget, and Barcia or Tomac.

Those are the fastest and most consistent riders we have right now. Stewart, what if he gets banged up in practice or crashes during the race? His wrist injury has had him out how many races now and his 2 comebacks were weak (compared to his usual self)  Dungey on the other hand rode with a broken collarbone and still took 2nd in an sx race. Barcia won an sx title with a broken wrist, and Tomac finished out the second half of lites nursing injuries as well.

I could see taking Weimer, Brayton, Alessi, or Tickle if there wasn't consistently 3 US 250 riders consistently cutting faster lap times on a more beat up track race after race. I say take whoever the top 2 in 250 points are at desision time

They held a race at our local sand track on the weekend and after seeing Matt Goerke dominate there again, I had to wonder if he shouldn't at least be in consideration as an alternate for the MXON.

Then I noticed this yesterday:

There's zero chance of it being considered or happening but seriously, someone should put Goerke in the equation for USA MXDN team

Anyway maybe it's just the observations of a couple of dumb Canucks. :)

Here's a video from the race. Goerke lapped up to 5th on a track that has been described as the closest sand track to Lommel for rough conditions. Goerke owns the place and I'm pretty sure he's won at Southwick as well.

I agree.  I think KTM's making noise and we'll start seeing them at the MX tracks much like they dominate the woods.

But I like yeller...

Oh I've ridden orange, nice motors... but nothing carves like an RM. :D

I've owned red, green, blue, but settled on yellow about 15 years ago.... and now I'm old. :)

It is true that slower bikes seem to handle better  and at your age that's got to be a good thin :)

Touche.  :)

On a good day I can still hang with an A rider for a little bit... until I have to stop for a nap. :D

I ride with a guy similar in age to you. He was a very fast A rider at one time and he still has serious speed but can't keep it up too long, I'm not as quick but I can go faster than him anytime we go more than just a few minutes.

Part of it though his body is tore up, hips and knee's are shot. One hip has already been replaced so he can't move it out to the side, we ride a lot of tight single track so I've seen several tip overs where he just falls over :) Cracks my shit up everytime.

I also raced Dick Mann about 12 years ago in a vintage race when he was in his 60's I believe, he passed me :D and then I got him back  . Old dudes can still go fast they just take less risk because it takes longer to heal.

I would say that would be a good team, RD 450, BB 250 and JB 450.

From the first and second post in this thread, Hmmm.

Maybe Rodger should use his same "lame" strategy as last year and put Dungey in the MX3 spot since he is the stronger rider and let Barcia be MX1 and have a better gate pick...oh wait that would take the #1 plate off of the KTM so that won't happen this year just like he came up with that lame azz excuse last year.

Bitter still?

roger is full of crap with this reasoning on not selecting MA.  the 250s have faster lap times on 250's the 450 is a diff bike and barcia's laps would be diff too!  and the lame excuse of i don't know what kind of support that moto concepts would be able to give over there... blah blah blah... what he should have said is i don't want to deal with alessi or his dad!  what a cop out and for me that is just another reason i have lost respect for him running the team.  looks like people need to start kissing ass to get in to the MXdN team.  send roger some flowers or something..  i say send alessi! he has earned it! and motoC has stated they would fund him over there so thats not an issue!

after your read rogers take on it... scroll down and read the alessi interview if you haven't already.
