That may well be the most useless skid plate I've ever seen. Looks cool though.

The wire coming off the brake pedal is to help prevent the brake pedal from getting snagged and ripped off in ruts.

The wire on the brake pedal doesn't do jack. Had one on an after market pedal, tore the whole thing off first ride.
And yeah, that skid plate might help in MX and SX if all it has to deal with is roost, but off road, forget about it.

IMO the brake wire works better for ridding in tall grass. If you hook your brake on something solid the wire will not help much. Might help in soft ruts.

the wire works wonders on small stuff, weeds and vines, obviously if you hit something big enough it's not as effective

For these guys, you also have to worry about catching the banners covering the tough blocks, and then getting landed on.

I'm thinking about going and picking up mike browns skid plate on the other side of horsepower hill right now. It looked metal but it was black. Maybe it was the new moose poly one not sure
