g2 throttles cams

I'm wondering how good they work or how big the difference is. I think it would help me a lot on my 125, but I want to know more about them. What happens when you get in a sticky situation? I'd say they would be hard to get used to or could even get you in more trouble at times. What do you guys think?

The G2 cams R the best investment I have made. I had a wrist injury that limited my throttle twist in the right hand. I got the G2 quik turn throttle tube which came with I believe the .25 cam which is 10% bigger than the stock cam.   I also ordered the biggest cam the .50 and use it all the time.

Now .....I didnt lose a lot of flexin in my wrist when it was injured just cant come back as far as my left.

It didnt effect my riding at all. It doesnt make it harder but easier to get it to WOT with out ur elbow at the pegs.

It dont give you whisky throttle what so ever.  If you have some slack in the cable then you will have some play in the throttle which will illiminate the whisky throttle.

I had mine on my 2010 yz 450 for 2 years and then bought my 2011 model and is on it now.  No need to put grease on the bar when u put it on cuz it has the delrin tube which is a sort of plastic that rides against the bar and doesnt need grease on it.

If you want it or thinking hard about it then what I can tell you is that it does what its suppose to and after a few rides may be like 3 or 4 you will never know it is on there. I cant even tell its there and kinda wish they had another cam bigger than the one I have on

You can use it to reduce the speed at which the throttle opens, or increase it.  The former is very useful for woods riding/racing powerful bikes.  For example, woods racers might use a throttle cam that reduces throttle opening speed on 250 and 300 smokers, but it would be pointless on a 125.  I use one on my 250 SX which has been converted for harescrambles.   A quick turn throttle might be useful on smaller bikes, but I suspect that they are mainly useful for folks that have limited wrist movement.  Unless you are extremely talented, stock throttles pull the slide plenty fast for most riders.

I would be getting the quick turn throttle tube if I got one. How much of a difference is there? Easily noticable? The reason I was considering one in the first place is because I have to replace my throttle housing and tube anyways. If you're supposed to ride a 125 wide open, why not make it easier to get there? Haha that's how I see it anyways, but I have no clue how big the difference is.

Ive got the G2 tube with the .25 cam on my crf250 and its friggin rad.Got it so if i was comming out of a corner and needed wot to hit a jump (or whoops section) straight away i would be in a better riding posistion  and not have to re-grip the throttle.

I also got the Jimmy Twister adaptor and my throttle is oh so smooth and sexual .
I might just go give it a twist now....................................................

The difference that you will see right from the get go is how the throttle turns and stops at WOT. In other words......Your stock tube has to turn quiet a ways til it stops to get to Wide Open.  With the G2 Quick turn tube it doesn't have to turn quiet as far as the stock one and even less with the biggest cam.

Now with that said .....You will not notice anything different in the motor however with the less twisting of the throttle to get to WO will trick your brain into thinking you have increased the HP in the motor by giving it more power due to the faster throttle cam.

All this thing does is.......Allows you to turn the throttle with less movement to get it to WO(til it stops) and doesn't have your arm in a position to where your elbow is below the the bars.  However if you can twist your stock tube without your arm being in this position then the G2 would not beneifit ya.

Just put a little throttle play in by adjusting the nut at the cable and you will never notice it.  Like I said... I have had mine for 2 years and love it.
