2001 Polaris Scrambler 90 HELP! Please!

The problem: to get it started when cold I have to cover the inlet to the air box so it will pull enough fuel, I guess the electric choke isn't enough, I've had to restrict the inlet to the air box so it will keep running, once it's warmed up abit I can set the throttle stop just to where it will go with my 54lbs son on it and he rode it around for hours....now if I back the throttle stop out so it will pack me at 200lbs it goes like hell for about 100 yards then dies like its out of gas, I let it sit for a couple minutes fire it up and go let hell for another 100yards then dies, I can keep it running by choking off the airbox inlet alittle but it won't wind high until I let it sit
I don't understand why it's not getting the fuel or why it doesn't seem to be drawing it into the engine???? I'm really at a loss here and getting frustrated my son wants to ride it but I can't figure this thing out, if you have any ideas please by all means...Help!
