A good quality oil can be run at 60:1, that said I normally run 40:1.  And for what it's worth, trail ridden bikes normally run better on leaner mixes like 50 or even 60:1 where as MX bikes will do better at 32:1.

So if 60:1 makes you nervious, try 40:1.

You are going to get numerous opinions on ratios; anywhere from 32:1 to 100:1.  Personally, I go with 50:1 (2.5 oz per gallon) because it was a rough average from what the hundreds of posters said they were running!

The primary thing I've learned though is to pick a ratio and stick to it as changing affects jetting to a degree.

Plus 2! Pick a ratio and jet your bike for that ratio. I've ran 50:1 for years and it works just fine for me.

Me too, 50:1 in my bike, the wifes bike, the weed wacker, the lawnmower and sometimes the pick up truck.
