From riders I trust a ttx rear doesn't work any better than a good setup kyb etc

The hardware on the late pds is fine,  I have rode late model ones that work really well,  you can throw money at it with ttx etc and hope I guess?

Guys the TTX for the PDS is pretty darn awesome.  They do so many things really well only problem I had with mine was I missed the progression my long needle two piston provided.  Other than that one aspect, the TTX was just flat out amazing.  I was naive until I bought one and tried it.

TTX is definitely missing the progression+its bottoming resistance is quite questionable....Perhaps the secondary piston needs some different stack which will help the progression as well....just my 1.5 cents

Did you try the forks though? Really the forks are KTM's biggest issue. The shock can be fixed very easily with a piston kit.

Tried 2010 TTX Inserts-not happy at all! They blow the stroke easily,trying to fix this with heavier springs is a band-aid.2011 WP CC felt much better for my application

My 2011 wp fork feels just as good (better in fact) as the showa in the rmz or as good as the kyb I later fitted , the shock is not there as yet

Its interesting nobody talks about a longer needle. Can you elaborate on the modification more and what it entails?

X2....I replaced the needle on just about every PDS shock I did up to '08. I've never had half the complaints with WP suspension as some on here tho and with the large FTR crowd here in FL KTM's are a big part of my biz....
