I tried asking this before, but nobody responded. I have a 1998 YZ250 and was looking into getting a new plastics kit and graphics kit. My only issue is that there isn't many good kits for my year. I had someone tell me I could put plastics on from a newer year model. Does anyone know what years plastics fit my 1998 YZ250? Thanks.

you can put the 02+ rad shrouds on but you require the 02+ tank and you will also need to make some brackets. There is a thread on here about it. The front fender and number plate mount up without too much trouble

I actually like the 96-01 style plastics with the 10+ yzf front fender and plate. Any of the big graphics companies have a wide variety of styles to chose from for your year. There is also some pretty nice stuff on ebay rather cheap.

I like the look of my 96, but Im in the process of designing some new graphics as we speak. Magiksc has some really nice stuff that is avail for our years. Decalworks does as well.

Heres what the 96 looks like with the current fender and plate.

That is really smart. Having messed around making our own graphics on the restyle kits recently its amazing how easily the graphics can change the overall perception of the shape. The size of the number board on the side panels and how it overlaps into the airbox makes a massive difference. Ktm's I think look really smart on the side board and rear Mudgaurd, take all the stickers off and it's not pretty at all. Blending it all in on yours looks ace :-).

1996 through 2001 YZ125 & 250 all share the same bodywork.
