Hello everyone. I need to buy a front rotor for my DR650SE 1997 and I don't have any clue on what make/price. I need the cheapest possible but without making any compromises on reliability. I've seen some on ebay, chinese stuff like this:

But I'm not sure how much quality matters for braking rotors. As I know performance isn't something to look for at off-road brakes but I wouldn't want for that disc to disintegrate in the woods far away from home. Is there a minimum quality recommendation on a braking rotor? Like a certain brand that is cheap and sure on quality...

See if Rocky Mountain has a replacement for your bike, their Tusk line of products are decent for the money.  Personally I would just buy a EBC, Braking, Galfer,  etc since they are quality products that you can bolt up and not worry about for a long time to come.  They might be slightly more expensive but when it comes to brakes it is important to have a good setup.

i tried a cheap chinese one, it came slightly warped brand new, i used some shim stock  where it mounts to make up for it but it bugged me enoughknowing it was like that i tossed it, you get what you pay for, chinese have almost no quality control

Tusk would have been great but they don't have any for my bike. How's DP?
