I want to make my titled Yamaha WR400 into a dual sport in Massachusetts.

Has anyone converted thier off-road bike to a dual sport in Massachusetts?
If so, what are the proper steps I need to get it registered for the road?

I know i need all the proper equipment like lights, horn, ect, ect.
I am more concerned with taking my titled off-road bike and register it for street use.

Any information would be great.

Thanks

The title is key so its good you have that.  It is a painful process but I was able to do it with my WR250f.  I found working with my insurance girl was most helpful.  My most recent attempt to plate my new bike seemed too pricey...you will need proof of paid sales tax and then a salvage guy will have to inspect it for road worthiness after you have all the modifications done.  I may still have the list of what is needed...I will look for it.

I would find one already done before I sold anything.....It all depends on how much you like your bike and is it the right bike for what you want to ride.  I'm no expert at any of it.  I just wanted (want) a plate so I can ride between trails on Turkey Runs but really I mostly just ride on trails so I can live without a plate for now.
