I'm looking to get my suspension revalved on my 10 rmz250. The springs are not the right ones for my weight and the bike just doesn't sit right in the ruts/turn. I have played with the setting but still don't like it. Just trying to see what companies you all have been using and if you are happy with what they did or not.
I have a few picked out but done know what to go with.
Factory connection
Pro action
Kb5
TBT racing
Those are the ones i have narrowed it down to but if I can get some input it be great.
Thanks,
Nick
What suspension company are you all using?

Out of the companies you listed I would 100% go with Factory Connection. Which is who I always used before I changed to a local company.
On the other hand whenever anyone asks me which suspension company to use, I always tell them to go with a local tuner that way you can have changes made at any time. Often times the local guy will come out to the track or invite you to a "private" ride day with the rest of the sponsored riders and frequent customers and make adjustments for you while your riding the bike at no charge if you can get in a sponsorship program or something along those lines (most companies offer some form of rider support). Thats what my tuner does. I am in his sponsorship program and while I dont get my parts and labor for free, I get them at a very very good price and I get the privilege of having him come out to the track and getting invited to his ride days where he does all the fine tuning on my suspension based on the feedback I can give him in the heat of the moment. He also does the free revalve services etc once you've had that service done by them. My current suspension set up is far better than anything Ive ever had done by FC because of the personalized service. He has done some amazing stuff on my bikes while at the track. Just my opinion.

I would have gone that way with Someone close but the only suspension that was some what close closed up about 3 years ago. I think there is a pro action shop about a hour away from me but don't have the time to be running down there all the time. I live in Baltimore, Maryland one of the worst places for dirt bikers. I don't race anymore but want that confidence of my bike and knowing what to expect from it. Last week at the track my bike would not stop standing up in the ruts and breaking bumps were killing me. I had the worst time at the track so now I'm going to spend the money to get my suspension done I just want to spend it at the right place.
Thanks for the input and giving me some ideas. I'll give factory connection a call tomorrow. I'll give a shop I know in pa tomorrow also that's a dealer for fc. I know the guy pretty well so it be cool of he could get me a deal and maybe a day at the track with those guys.

no prob... just wanted to throw that out there.
Most people dont know that the small companies do stuff like that. Hell I didnt even know until one of my buddies told me, Id never even heard of them. I called the guy and told him I wanted to get the suspension done on my 96 ASAP which was just gonna be a loaner/ fun/ practice bike that would sit most of the time. The suspension was soo good I rode that thing 99% of the time till I got my 250 and 125 done. He offered for me to come down and he would hook me up well within my budget. He told me to bring the whole bike and he would set sag and everything for me. I got there and he was like $100 over my budget with the parts that needed replaced but then he asked if I wanted to be part of his sponsorship program. No games, no catches, dont have to do anything special. Just rock his logo and use solely his service and I get 50% off parts and labor at the shop plus the track days which are worth their weight in gold. Im a lifetime customer and have taken all but the 450 in to be done by him, and plan on getting that done in the next few weeks. Its a 2 hour drive but its well worth it for that type of service. He's even shown up to a few of my races which he does from time to time to support his riders so he's driven 2 hours as well! Great guy and will do anything for anyone.

Man now you got me thinking to see if I can get a hold of anyone that can get me some info on any local suspension guys. I'm going to give my buddy that's a pro to see if he knows anyone. Probably could point me in the right direction since his pretty big around here at the races

i was at the same place with the way my 10 rmz was handling also. i had already tried two local shops and just wasnt satisfied with the way the bike was sticking in the corners so i ended up going to factory connection. they sent me a shipping box full of packing material and the salesperson on the phone told me that they would call before doing any work with a price so i would know excately what it was going to cost, huge plus because i had already paid to have this done more than once. the day they got it they called me at work and went through price what they wanted to do and why. i actually talked to the guy working on it (tom) and he told me if i didnt want to do anything he would put it back together and send it to me. i got the suspension back five working days after i sent it in and it was set to ride rite out of the box including the sag! i got all my old parts lifetime valving and there shop number to call if for any reason at all i am not happy or just have tuning questions! soooo plush cant even describe it bottom resistance is amazing!!! corners are like its on rails never trys to bump me off if i hit a braking but in a straight or rut. was $1300 which is more than it should have costed but one of the local guys ground the shock shaft so far it only had two threads holding valving on! i wish i would have spent the money with them the first time instead of fighting two years with it!!!! aggersive 175lbs b rider that isnt ever sore anymore!! worth every cent!!
