Sucks that Kurt is hurt, but I was watching the video where he hurt himself and it linked to the video I'm posting in this thread, which is his 2011 WORCS championship video.  If you haven't seen it, check it out as it's pretty good.  But I have a question for the moto heads in here about it: watch through to about 2:35 - 2:42 in the video.  He does a pretty good sized triple, but then launches off some huge thing that doesn't entirely look like it was intended to be a jump!  How far do you experienced moto guys think that one is?

Here's the video:

It looked likes that could of been at Glen Helen but I am not sure. But it looked further than a triple more like a quad.

Theres an uphill jump at Glen Helen at the North end of the track, that might be it and it's a hell of a long way from the lip to where he's landing. If that's the jump, he is definitely swinging some big ones.

I think Taylor Robert wrote on his facebook right after that race that it was a 120 foot step up.

Its a shame he got hurt...he was supposed to enter some MX events this summer.  I know he would have done well

I'm 100% that is Glen Helen.  You can see the upper parking area stacked with RV's to the right, and the REM track is that hill in front of him, slight right.

Pretty cool to stand aside the track and watch guys jump over you...  Can't believe the nationals are once again going somewhere else.  Super flat, Lake Elsinore?  Whoopty-do!  The AMA needs to go back to Glen Helen for the FANS.  Period.  OK, rant over...

Yeah, that is at Glen Helen.  Robert's assertion of it being a 120' step up is pretty close.  I was at Glen Helen the Thursday before that WORCS race and the top guys (Caselli, Robert, Brown, Soule....) were all hitting it.  I will never forget watching that, just lap after lap these guys pinned, hucking themselves into a low orbit.

OK I thought it was Glen Helen. Last year at the USGP, they had a jump similar to that. It looks like he is just floating in air. Very cool.

Must be trick photography or something, everybody knows offroad guys can't do MX stuff, only works the other way around!

Those jumps are insane. Its the kind where you stand there on the side and look at the take off, then wonder where the hell they land. Then when you figure out where the landing is, you tell yourself, impossible, until one of these lunatics hit it. Then you stand around for 10 minutes with a 3/4 retarded grin on your face.
