The closest spot is Mcnutt, also known as Blue Mountain in Maple Ridge. Tons of Intermediate to hard single track trails to ride. I ride there often, PM me if you would like more info.

McNutt is definately the closest, the Blue Mountain Motorcycle Club does great work there with trails, rides and stewardship. They have an active website and forum too, you can find it at www.bluemountainmotorcycleclub.com . You mentioned the lower mainland, I assume you know of Vedder Mtn. and Chipmonk Crk. out in the Valley.

Try triangle road in richmond,(behind the silver city), or off #8 road (also richmond)  back in the ninties we used to ride by the womens prison near byrne road, but im sure that area has been developed by now.

Its not bad, but it used to be much better before they built the container yard, theres a real long sandy whoops section on the triangle side, mostly techical riding as the terrain is rough and heavily rutted.

Alot of people go there on the weekends, its pretty quiet durring the week, couple people here and there, of #8 road is a large sand pit, good place to practice your sand riding skills.

Dont ride on the trail by the womens prison! the place im talking about was on tillicum road, but looking at google maps its been developed, so no go, that was a great place to ride back in the day! the women would come out in the exersise yard and hoot and holler at the riders lol
