i like to pull the spark plug out and put a small screw driver in that hole and when the screwdriver is at its highest point, i know im at TDC.  then i line the cams up with the head, i was told that the exhaust dots will be slightly to the right instead of straight up and down and sideways, and the intake cam is dead horizontal and vertical. hope this helps!

When turning the crank left (CCW) it´s the second mark coming up in the hole. The first one is a just a timing mark, the second is TDC.
