I forgot about that. So I guess they have done it once in that last 30 years

And their experience with him will probably ensure it doesn't happen for another 30.

I think Kawi has no intention of letting RV go this year.  He is still in his prime(if he recovers from injury) racing years.  Yes they let RC go years ago to Honda mainly because Honda offered WAY more than Kawi was willing to pay at that time.  They dropped Stewart for pretty much the same reason.  The fact is today the manufacturers don't have the cash to throw out a ridiculously high offer on a new rider.  Too much risk and not enough reward for that these days.  So the top riders still get great money, but not like the Glory years back in 04-08 time frame when guys were following the money.  Plus it's not like RV is the only top guy.  We will have 6 riders(hopefully) in SX next year that have at least one championship in the books.

I think even with the stacked field next year that if RV fully recovers will most likely dominate again.  He was riding at a different level by the end of the season when he got hurt.  I'm a Dungey fan though, and would love to him sneak out a close season with all of those guys staying healthy.  Finally get everyone off his back about winning titles when everyone else is hurt.

I would like to see that too. I just want to see a season where everyone is healthy and a good year of racing. this shit where people are hurt and out and when its 1 guy racing and dominating the field because everyone was out is boring. I didn't even watch Budds Creek today because 450s was going to be just smacked around by Dungey.

There was still some exciting racing happening behind Dungey.  But more importantly, the 250's are getting nothing but better and better.

The most recent riders that Kawasaki has let go when they still had plenty of winning left in them

Ricky Carmichael & James Stewart

Arguably the best talent that has come along in the last 20 years and they didn't want to pay for them because they had an up and coming rider to replace them. James for Ricky and Ryan for James. If they feel like they can win with a new guy then they won't pay what RV is looking for and he will move onto a new chapter in his career

I think RV will be around on Kawasaki till AC92 or when he retires. Which ever comes first. But I don't really know for sure just guessing!

According to CR22's twitter, RV2 resigned to Kawi. He's not going anywhere.
