does anyone have a copy of a manual that can show me just the fork section so i can change my seals. i just bought a 2005 450exc and noticed the seals are leaking. this is my first KTM and im anxious to go riding and dont want to wait for CD in the mail.

They used to give you one when you got the bike. They're very easy to do.

Mine were leaking on my 06 and I simply wwiped up in them with a business card and that stopped the leaks. I haven't yet been able to ride it though so not sure if it will last.

I bought a fork seal saver off ebay it clips on the fork leg, then you work it up into the seal and turn. It has a shark fin shaped tip which hooks out any crap. similar idea to the credit card. most leaky seals are just a bit of muck stuck in there stopping the seal seating.

After your issue is resolved, think about investing in some neoprene fork seal savers. I haven't had a single leaky seal since using them. Make sure you take them off, when washing your bike...wash by hand and air dry before re-installing.

thanks for the advise. i had them fully serviced since they needed to be set for my weight anyway. ill definitley try the seal saver to eliminate any future problems. thanks again all
