Hey All,

I have my WR back, the engine was opened up fixed and all is well.  Headed up North as soon as I dropped the boys at school.  I brought the TTR 125 as I knew the trails would be worn as many hundred riders rode through MY loop on Sunday and I am getting very comfortable with the minibike over the past few weeks. Rode the 125 on my easy loop and the harder 6 mile loop...very fun.  I had to force myself to get on the 250 but I did  and it went well.  The Rekluse is awesome...I love it.

Got home and my wild child and his buddy strolled into the driveway after finals and looked bored.  I offered to take them riding and wooohooo they said yes.  We went back up North and here I was cautioning my son..."these trails are challenging...you better start with tihe 125 to begin with".  Ya right....the boy outrode me like a champ.  I have been working so hard to do these trails (since last summer) with some speed and smoothness.  He was sic....braap.....  I could not believe his skills....standing, balancing, ripping it up.  Halfway throught the harder trail I gave him the 250.....again he rode great. Our buddy rode well too. Proud mamma moment.

Thanks for letting me share.
Mo

Thank you....I do hope middle child will ride with me again...he rides daily on our little backyard track.  This is him in the parking lot down the street.  He seems to find places to ride and I tend to cover my ears and eyes.  The boy really lives up to his WildChild name.

Oh come on now, I don't do that or jump LMAO....

I will say that if your son wants to race like mine did, make sure the grades are b+ and he works out. My son Ray graduated high school with a 3.98 average and the dedication I saw in him made him the easy child to raise LMAO. He would come home from school, do his home work, hit the gym for 2 hrs, eat then go out and ride for 2 hrs Mon-Fri.
When it came to the LL qualifiers he would work and train so hard for those races  But his Father knew what it takes to be at that level and he worked with him on his riding, Technic, bike set up and all. Yes he was lucky having a father that is an ex ama racer and knows the in's and out's of this sport :banghead:

Hope you get out and ride today :ride: I am just about to head out for my race down in Oregon.

Have a super duper day hehe

I would hurt myself if I went hiking LOL. Glad you had a gooooood time :smashpc:

For me well, it was a loooooong day for me and my youngest daughter (Andi) we left around 4;45 am to get to the track in time and got home at like 7pm :banghead: But the races were good.

I placed 3rd in the Intermediate open class :ride:  and I didn't hug the pavement at all on Sunday   But I did however mess up my left knee and hip as i didn't raise my left foot up enough when going into a left hander (did it on the second and 4th lap durrrrrrr). I had got in the leadt and was trying to keep a guy behind me and on the 2nd lap I tweeked it and then the guy in 2nd got by me. I was having shifting problems and fell back a bit and then got passed again but when I looked back I had at least a 10 sec gap between me and 4th so I just backed it down so I could finish :banghead:

Here I was in the lead

here I'm trying to hold off the big 620. 4th gear pinned and on the back wheel hehe and trying to keep 2nd

First it was a visit now I gotta move?  LOL.  I rode the 250 for the first time this year in the State Park.  It went very well.  I saw the entrance to the difficult river bed trail and almost impulsively took it.  Thank goodness I came to my senses quick.  I have no business being out there alone but the urge was strong.  I was riding well, had plenty of energy and trail looked very inviting. Headed home after that....I must be getting smarta  :ride:

I want to be able to lift my front end up like this.  I can see where it would be sooooo helpful going over roots...it would be like skipping them.  Maybe I will give it a try today on the 125.  The only wheelies I get in the woods are by accident not command. I did them at Dirtwise and then could not make myself do them again...its fear, clearly.  The thought of falling backwards and the bike falling on me gives me great pause.  Maybe I will resurrect the wheelie thread.

Oh I get scared also :ride: but my bike just likes to do them soooooo as to not make Tigger mad I just let him do them LMAO.

BTW... did you notice the big log in my way ??? LMAO.... actually this track just has so many rises in it the front of my bike just loves to wheelie when under power. The small straight just before this front straight has bigger ones and I have tried many ways to keep the front wheel down and well nope, still skies :banghead: so I just exit the turn in 3rd now twist the throttle and when front starts to aim to high I just drag the rear break so I don't have to lift on the throttle hehe :banghead:

You will get the hang of doing this I promise
