Just picked up an 08 RMZ 250 thought id post a video for you guys to pick apart i know helmet cam videos are hard to tell whats going on but any advice is great thanks!

Look pretty good to me.

One thing I will say, be patient in the slow stuff.

Remember the key to going fast is first go slow. GO slow in the slow stuff, go fast in the fast stuff. Don't try to push the slow stuff, or you'll just get frustrated. You try to take every corner with the throttle pinned. Thats great and all, but you DO loose a lot of time as your bike sniff's for grip, you have to put a foot down to catch it and so its also a waste of energy. Learn to be SMOOTH, thats how you'll go quicker.

One tip about riding 4 strokes that is critical. If you've got a slow corner, don't kill the throttle entirely. Learn how to keep the throttle slightly open on entry. This will help you maintain some speed in the corner and allow for less engine braking, less chain lag (where the chain is slack vs chain under tension from the motor) and help keep the rear from completely unloading.

You look great over the jumps, can't see the front fender, so your body position is probably pretty good.

From what i can tell you ride the lines your picking pretty well, but you are staying centered on the track in the warn in line. You seem a little hesitant in ruts, which on a few corners look to be a faster line. There is a lot of track that you could be utilizing, and IMO it's beneficial to constantly be trying odd lines, even if you have to get out into the rough. You can also ride wider lines to carry more speed. It's hard to tell when your sitting but a few times you may have sat a little early, and try standing through some stuff your sitting.

Thanks guys I really appreciate your input. You definitely bring up good points Staying on the throttle, standing more, picking different lines, and working on becoming smooth and getting it down before going fast. Thanks again

I just raced there Sunday, here is a video of me during Vet practice.  I love this track!  Did you ever try a lesson?  http://www.gpmxracing.com/ is like 5 minutes from the track.  A private 2 hour lesson is $100 and well worth it.

I will defin have to give frenchie a call and set something up i dont know why I never thought of that but that would really help me. Hey what gear are you hitting the uphill triple in? Are you on a 450? I wanna hit that jump but havent really got the feel for the timing and speed

I lug over that stepup thing in 4th usually, but I've cleared it in 3rd too.  It's an intimidating looking jump, but I came short on it a few times throughout the weekend and it really wasn't too bad.  That big table is more difficult; I didn't jump this in the video because I didn't like the look of the heavily watered face.  It really throws you high, and even if you hit the landing perfect it's a harsh landing.
