01'to 06' gasgas have a kit to turn it into an 11' ????  Kindah weird as I like the old look but it's still cool that there's that option.... Interesting!!!

http://www.gofasters...logId=-2231  .. Why buy a new bike?.. It's not cheap but there are a bunch of parts there..

The only downside is the newer versions, say '11-up are light years ahead of the older ones in every way. However, I'd really dig the updated styling on my old EC250.

I would not call it light years, the changes were incremental

Anyone got any pics of an updated gasgas with this kit? .. just wondering too how well this all fits...

I'll just put this 2011 test so I can see what an 11' looks like anyway..

The conversion is sweet! I especially like the big dent in the pipe.

cr12, cr250 and cr500 front master cylinder  interchange with the 01-06 gasgas ec200/250/300.

just took my 2002 rm 125 asv front brake lever off and installed it on my 2004 ec300 gasgas.

uni air filter part # nu-4112st fit cr125, cr250, cr500, some ktm's and the gasgas ec200/250/300.

also i just installed my kickstarter from my 2005 wr250f yamaha onto my 2004 gasgas ec300.  fits perfect and is alot longer, so its easier to start.  so for a kickstarter interchange, the four stroke 250 yamaha from 01 to current as well as the late model yamaha 2 stroke will fit the gasgas ec.

This is awesome... and because that's the 2002 and the different case than my 01 that can refit and put the electric start kit on this bike too... It says 96 and above but the cases are different. 2002 and up works..unless I find another motor but then it's just not worth it..unless I found some incredible deal...

http://www.ktm-parts...ml#.UTwj4hybOjY

That's what I would do if I had a 2002 and newer. ..even before the 11' upgrade kit.. I'd probably do both knowing how I get carried away sometimes.  Still you come out ahead especially if you take care of your bike and have the bike already dialed in suspension and motorwise. So for under 2 grand you have an awesome upgraded gasgas... not  good as brand new but still pretty good.

Where did you find info stating that the E-start WOULD NOT FIT 2001 or earlier? I had never heard that before and I've been dreaming of adding E-start to my '01 (and my artificial hips wouldn't mind it either!) I've still yet to find any other reason to replace it with a newer bike.

I was checking on gasgasridersclub forums and after I went to my gasgas dealer and was looking at a 2003 and the case was different. Check around though... I'd really like to be wrong and hope there's some kind of adapter or something..but really that's not what I've found.

ktm 2k2 and 2k3 stators interchange with gasgas, brakes most jap bikes nissin stuff, like said 94-98 kx chassis and carb will work, footpegs from a husky or Yamaha work to my knowledge, yz kicker, I believe cr250 crank not sure years on that, gasgasrider.org main page lists a few things, great bikes when there running just pray your stator never goes like mine did!
