'07 with stock duals. Added the Eco Slip on exhaust today and took it for a test ride and it's popping a lot on deceleration. It wasn't truly warmed since it was just around the block but it concerned me just the same. It did not come with a clamp between the stock head pipe and silencer and the stock one was too big. Just had the bike tuned, valves adjusted, carb cleaned about 5 hrs ago and had no issues before swapping the exhaust. Do you think it's an exhaust lek or will I have to re-jet? How much should I expect to pay for jetting? Thanks

Why would you spend hundreds on a new exhaust and then not even throw some new jets in ?
A few people have commented on aftermarket exhausts not having the clamp where the exhaust joins also...
Putting new jets in there is extremely easy, when i was new to bikes it seemed complicated but now i find it easy to do...
If you have to get a mechanic to do things like that then you are going to be moneyless in no time when you have a bike like this that requires so much work and maintenance to keep it fresh

"Popping" or backfiring on deceleration is caused by a lean pilot circuit. You need to go up in jet sizes.

Thanks for the help. I ordered a dynojet kit and manufacturer suggested I go up one size. Yes I'm going to have to get smart on doing the work myself for sure, quoted $130 for the install.

Received the Dynojet stage 1 kit on Saturday and installed today. Was pretty straight forward; my 6 yr old daughter helped me. Replaced the stock main jet (175) with the Dynajet 175 + adapter, replaced the stock needle with the Dynojet 5 from the top and fuel mixture screw out 2 turns. Started right up and although I was only able to ride around the block, it ran great with very little popping on the decel, if any. I also installed the spark arrester and quiet insert on the exhaust, so that might have helped as well. Thanks for eberyone's input and doing it myself saved @$130.
