I just installed a ReWound BAJA Designs Stator that I procured from another TT member (Thanks Tim). I have had it since January & I finally got the Stones to open the case up & switch it out. I had ordered the BAJA Designs Regulator & after calling BD, the Tech said I should have ordered the Regulator with the Plug, so it would just plug into the OEM Harness without splicing wires. BD is sending me the plug, since the Regulator is the same. He also, sent me a photo of what the wiring looks like on the Regulator/Plug side. So after installing the Motion Pro Throtlle Kit, I decided to Splice & install the ReWound BAJA Designs Stator. After putting everything back together, she started on the first hit of the button. Now it will be nice to use the TrailTech X2 Lights without killing the battery or watching the lights dim......AGAIN THANKS TIM!!!!!!!!!

Well I took it out for a bit and ran the lights and the battery died. So I parked it for the night and it dawned on me while at work. I had bought another OEM Stator that I originally intended on sending out for the rewind and I got the two mixed up and installed the 2nd OEM Stator. I them took her apart AGAIN & installed the REWOUND Stator. I then took her out AGAIN & ran her without any problems. YES, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN....

Hey GreenHornet450

I've been looking into sending my stator out for a rewind at Ricky Stators. I would like to look into more options. Can you give me more info on your Baja Designs stator you installed. For exsample: did it make your hole electrical system DC? Whats the web Link were I can see it? Was it tuff to install, etc...

I got the stator from another TT Member and it was already rewound by Baja Designs. I ordered the BAJA Designs Regulator for the conversion. Note if you still have your OEM Harness installed make sure you order the regulator with the plug attached. This allows you to just plug the regulator and harness together without having to splice your wires. The install was not that difficult. You can drain your oil or lay the bike on its side and remove the left side casing & starter. Then just swap out the stators, reconnect the stator/harness plug, put the items you removed back on & hit the button. Also your lighting will now have to run from the battery. It is no longer powered in the OEM fashion.

Any of the rewinds will convert the system to DC.

Hey KLX fan
Just wanted to give you a little info about our stator rewinds so you know a couple more options. I know ricky stator does great work as well. You have a klx 450 right? Baja Designs rewind bumps it up to 100 watts. And a rewind will convert to dc.
heres a link for you http://www.bajadesig...-Rewind-Klx450r
Also since your an active forum member you get 10% off any order from Baja Designs
If you have any questions feel free to give me a call

You wouldn't happen to make a 100w rectifier/vreg that plugs right in the the KLX harness would you?

This guy would work for you. There is a wired version to but on the wired would you might have to change a couple connectors. I would recommend going with
the unwired version and just wire it up because there already is a fuse on your klx and the wired version has another but both would work easily.

I have pics of what wires on the  regulator go the harness. Tech did send me a plug that allows you to plug right in.
