So I just sold my 02 drz400e since it was on pavement 99% of the time to get a street bike. Looking for something still decent for a beginner but won't get bored with since I only have about 6 months experience riding on the street. I got $3000 from the bike, and don't want to spend any more than that. I found a 2004 suzuki sv650s for $3200 that looks good in the ad. Its got new tires, new battery, dynojet power commander, and m4 exhaust. Only downfall is a recon title (he says from fairing damage) but it does have new paint now. Always been a bit sketchy about a bike with a recon title....what do you guys think? Or any other advice on a good bike to get?

$3200 for a 04 SV650 is a decent price, with a clean title... recon. title take about $1k off.

That's just me.. after buying/selling over two dozen bikes in the last 3 years, 5 of them are SV650s.

Yeah it is hard for me to figure out a fair price for bikes since kbb doesn't quote them. Doubt he'd take 2200, but I could probably get it for 2500 if I had a fresh stack of 100s for him. Also found a 1996 yzf600r...not as pretty but clean title and asking $2100 and it has upgraded shocks, two brothers exhaust, fender eliminator kit and a new rear tire. Anyone have anything to say about these bikes?

That particular YZF (by scanning the picture and no other info) looks BEAT 2 $#!t! The tank looks to be smashed up under that bra, I think I see a big scratch in the aluminum frame, after market fairing, I'd say no way., it's beat.

BUT I COULD BE WRONG!!

IDK, I haven't seen in it person. But yeah definitely wouldn't get something if it was in that kind of condition
