They are definitely built larger and a lot more rigid than the OEM radiators.   the only radiator guards that seems to fit are the moose racing or enduro engineering ones.  You have to squeeze them into the guard, but they fit and are super sturdy.

be sure to use your old radiator cap.  the ones that come with it are useless.

If you are an offroad guy and do a lot of single track where you are clutching in first and second gear, you will notice that you won't be boiling over like before.   You'd even notice is while sitting still idling. There's a lot to be said about having more coolant.

Devol worked quite well.. i also went with a 1.6bar rad cap on both bikes..

Well thanks for all the input i ordered a pair today for $105 shipped we'll see how the work and ill post back.  Also do the works connection braces fit with these bigger ones?  I have a set of braces from works connection but one got mangled hence the need for new radiators but i was considering buying another set.  Or is there a better set out there.  I only race moto don't do a lot of trail riding or really any for that matter.

no matter how mangled the w.c. side braces get, just hammer em back into the shape you need. Did that for years when riding my 04 in the woods with stock rads and devol front guards. I got the o.s. rads after 5 years of that, and would sometime woods race it, so slapped some os. rads on there to be safe. Still have the stockers. I think I JBwelded the fronts of them 3 or 4 times before finally getting some rad guards to protect the fins.. lol

I race desert. I used to spend $100.00 on braces when i buy a new bike. The first time i would crash hard, the radiators and brace would be destroyed.  I would end up paying to fix the radiator and buying new braces.

Now I buy the ebay chinese ones and use the stock as back up.  The chinese radiators hold up well and are bigger than stock. I've had a couple  bad wrecks.  I just have them fixed at my local shop.  It's pretty cheap to fix and I don't run the braces. I thinks they hold up as well as the stockers with the braces.

No more boiling over in the tight stuff.  I also run the 1.6 cap.

Probably some cheap chinese Mishimoto knockoff...  I wouldn't try them personally.

To tell ya the truth the Mishimoto Radiators are garbage as well. Bought a set before Lorretas last year, which first off they did not fit exact, had to tweak them to make them fit right,  and in my first moto I took a small fall that mangled the left side, in which the lower elbow where the hose attached got pinched off, and I couldn't even finish the race...The aluminum they use is a low grade soft aluminum... I have a set of Fluidynes and they are definitely far superior the Mishimoto ones... :ride:

lots of threads on this, i even posted a thread with photos.. they work great, very strong, incredible price.. SOME fitment issues but nothing crazy. My 08 ones had the upper spout of the brake side rad not in the right position, so the hose rubs on the front of the gas tank. For $20 i got my welder buddy to cut it and re-weld in the right place. The ebay seller actually REFUNDED me the $20 and they were only $130 SHIPPED initially.
They hold about 50% more coolant than your stock rads. stock i measured each at 220ml, these wee 330ml each.

i had to buy a set too, i wasnt crazy about tthem at first ,but the oems are crazy expensive, and i also had to cut and reweld the nozzle on one side , but I have to say im quite happy with them now.

I got a set last year and so far they have been great. Cant beat the price and capacity. New rads look sweet too, has that nice bling to it.

I've had the fluidynes also, they are superior to the ebay chinese radiators.  They fit well and are very sturdy.  You definitely get what you pay for.  But, so far the cheeper ones have been working well for me.

Revive an old thread. Are any of you using a high flow impeller while using the larger capacity rads? Is a high flow Impeller needed with the larger capacity rads?
