looking for some jetting recomendations for my new (leftover 09 450xcw)

I had some parts lefover from my 09 400 jd kit, with the exception of the red needle (which is probably what I need) just don't want to spend $80 for one red needle.

1000' ASL, 70-90 degrees out now.

I tried blue #3, 175m 45p 1.5FS, with the stop on the ap diaphram, and thick oring.  felt pretty good, but thought it wasn't far off in power from my 400, so I'm hoping it can be better? also didn't start very quick once hot...possibly fuel screw adjustment or pilot?

I then tried OCEMR #3 160m 42p 2FS.  easy to start with choke on, with choke off it would not idle until well warmed up!  lot's of decel poping I didn't have before and didn't really feel that much better than the jd blue.

does anyone have an direction on which way to go with either one of these needles, or do I just need the jd red?

Thanks,
Andy
