A few months back i hauled a 1981 Suzuki Gn400x out of a neighbors shed. After many hours and carb cleanings later i had it on the road and running quite reliably. it had no air filter when i purchased the bike for $100. i improvised and air filter temporarily which made it run quite lean, but i have now switched to a k/n filter. does anyone have any experience on retuning/rejetting the gn's constant velocity carbs? i currently have a 132.5 main jet in it and have tried 135, 140, and 150 to gain a richer mixture, but it seemed to be much too rich. though i see online that some have thrown a 152 main jet and k/n filter just fine. anyone with experience tuning cv carbs, i would greatly appreciate any help you can offer. thanks for your time!
