Yamaha release 2013 models june 6

Recommended Posts

I've been a Yammie guy since my 98 125 and have had about 6 of them. For me the 09 was way better than the wide ass tank they have now. True the suspension is great but in my opinion they handle like shit and are not as predictable at all. I know plenty of guys go fast on them but I just never felt comfortable on it. I just traded for an 11 Honda 450 and could not be happier. Is the Honda perfect hell no but for me it's way better.

Ive ridden a stock and one with relocation and link aswell as a supercross practice 2010 yz450f aswell as ktm 450,honda 450, kawi 450, suzuki 450.... The yamaha is severly lacking in handling... So dont automatically assume im making unfounded statments... Ive ridden them all stock and setup....

just because a bike it "setup" doesnt means its set up for you. Bikes need to be tuned for the rider. end of story

Both the YZ250F and YZ450F pretty much dominated the Canadian series last year (and the years before that),and there's still tons of blue at the track every day up here.

To many Americans are sheep. They read the magazines and/or got sucked into some disillusional world and think they need a bike that the Pros ride.

Maybe in Canada people know what bike is extremely reliable and pretty reasonable on price.

Just because the bike is perfect for you dont mean the next guy feels the the same way.

It dont matter how much time and money you dump into a bike or what ever something fit you perfect others dont.

My 2006 KTM 560 was hands down the fastest dirt bke I ever owned but it was not for me I never felt 100% going though the ruff stuff I did every trick in the book it was a extremly nice bike but it always felt heavy and one day it was going to catch to me.

When you rode The KTM by the end of the day you'r Knees and Arms would hurt from hanging on to the bike trying to pull away from under you.

I stopped riding for 4 years now I back with a 2000 YZ426 some say there Heavy but I dont think there heavy at all but I do think it under powered but I can fix that.

Anyone heard what's new on the -13 Yamaha's ? Haven't seen or read anything from Yamaha yet...

Even if it looks unchanged from the outside I bet there is some updates to the suspension and maybe mapping.

The only thing you can see differ by looking at the pics is the white rearfender, BNG , and looks to be a darker colour to the upper frontforks ( but can be the picture)

I love yam because they are well built and great reliable bikes,

Yes they do need to update the bikes, I'm hoping in 2014 the 250f be a completely new bike, that will get people buying them, Im all for yam keeping the same bike but it's there prices here in the uk there about £ 600 more than any other brand of bike, that's why there not selling them here, why would you pay more for a bike that's not as dated as other brands, yes keep the same bike but make them cheaper not more, alot of people would be all for buying a cheaper bike that's abit out dated but trying to sell them for more is never going to work out
