Anyone have any experience with the Get wireless hour meter?  Supposedly works off of harmonic vibration, wondering if it is accurate and worth the extra cost.

For the cost and performance of a traditional inductive "wired" meter, why not just go with that?

The "get wireless" unit kinda sounds like the answer to a problem that never existed.

I don't think it's worth the extra $$$ unless you got money to burn.  The installation of a regular Hardline hour meter is about as simple as it gets, and it's like half the cost.

I am trying to get some informed information on the wireless set up, never saw one before.  Have had the hardline meters on most of my bikes in the past and never had a problem, just looking at something different.

Mehh...I like my Hardline meter..its does the job and it's half the price...Plus it has more features ...I like the tach...

I liked the GET meter up until it says the battery only lasts 3 years...so thats probably 2 years in the real world...and you cant replace it...I plan on keeping my bike longer than 2 years and don't want to spend $140 on hour meters for it when i can get away with $35..

Of course you love the Hardline unit. You're the manufacturer Hardline Products!

If you're going to sneak around in the background, deceiving the consumer with biased reviews of your own product, at least understand how the Internet works.

Sorry for the quick thread jack but you ever thought of doing a thread or sticky of the history of TT? Who people are, sponsors, links to good threads, stuff like that? I'm quite fascinated by TT and I think for the new crop of people is it would be great introduction/learning tool.

Back to the thread......

he can pull the IP address of the computer that has posted.  Just a simple IP lookup at that point.

Two things:

1. Hardline has inquired about advertising on TT, so the end around is BS.

2. Mark & Jenn at KnobbyKnife have been long time supporters of the TT community and in the process, became what I consider my friends. So you can bet when their product gets bashed in this fashion, I'm going to call Hardline out. There's a right way to market your products and the wrong way. We all know what way this is an example of. :)

I've never used a Knobby Knife, so I'm not going to vouch for the product. I just don't know. But, I can vouch for the owners being honest, salt of the earth southerners that are a pleasure to do business with and I wish them much success.

IP was the confirmation. The hunch was knowing who Hardline is, what products they make and insider info about their dealings with Hardline.

If you really want to save money do it the old fashioned way and write down how man hours you've road every time you ride. no need to spend big bucks on something your brain can do for you.

Though it works to a degree, it's not very accurate.

True, after spending a day riding I am always surprised at how low the number of actual riding shows on the computer.

I would LOVE this. i think it would be very cool to read about. i started thinking about this when one of the founders started a thread about him getting out of riding. got me thinking.. it would be cool to learn the history and then see pics or something with info on all the people behind this great site!
