I use the insurance from my tow vehicle.
That will probably be the cheapest.
There is no liability, only collision/comp if you want full coverage.
The liability transfers from the truck.

Talking a full blown 30 foot toy hauler not just an enclosed trailer so Wanting more coverage than just when its hooked to my truck if I hit someone.

My car/truck insurance covers mine. Like Dez RiderE said, if you want more, extra. Now I had a buddy who had truck insurance and borrowed a trailer, he called his insurance company and asked him if he hauled a trailer, would it be covered. He said yes, anything that is hooked to your truck is covered.

Well, the trailer he borrowed, the tongue rusted out and broke off, safety chains were attached at the part that broke off, rolls into opposite lane and hits a car (thankfully, no one was hurt, he was only going 30 mph) and his insurance company said it wasnt covered.

Can you guess why? I gave the answer in my post.
I couldn't believe it.

The answer should be "stupidity" since he hooked up a rusted out frame to his truck.
But we do insure "stupidity" so that is not the answer.

Guess he lost his "hooked up" portion of the equation.

Lumpy- If more liability is what you are looking for- just up that on your truck to the max.
Any Collision/Comp you add will cover the "market" value of the trailer.
The bikes will need seperate coverage as they are motorized  vehicles.

The tongue was rusted from the inside, you couldnt even see it from the outside. But the little stump left on the truck was covered.
