Im looking to buy one of these systems for my 2012 Crf450r. I read online that the RS-4d doesn't need to be remapped after i install it. But i was wondering if anyone has either of these pipes and could let me know what one is better or how to remap them if i need too.

Neither will "need" to be remapped but to realize the most gains you should. Eddie Sisneros does the maps for a great price, I've heard good things about Tokyo Mods as well. As far as which one is better I have no idea. I would assume the dual outlet is a tad heavier.

$50 for Sisneros Speed Works to do it, I think $75 for Tokyo Mods.

The Dual has a slightly different throttle feel according to Yosh. I was gonna get one for my 250. I decided to go with the RS-4. Same power just a little different feel. Go with a Tokyo Mods remap.

.

That's bad info. A good remap is like having a new exhaust system for $75. Notice I said good. I had a bad one from a well known company I won't name, but it was JUNK! Had Tokyo Mods do it then and it is great.

Not less response, just a little different feel. I really like the way it looks. You would be happy with either one. The fit and finish is perfect.

there must be a reason why none of the pros use the rs-4d though right?

Metcalf did last year. Seems like almost all are running the RS-4 though.

You will not be disappointed with the RS-4. But I would spend the $75 for a Tokyo Mods remap. There is no performance difference between a stainless and a ti/carbon system just $.

How does getting it remapped work? Do you send in your ignition? How long does it take?

Just send in the ecu. Same day turnaround. Of course call them first.

I don't know if you ride trails, but I don't believe the RS-4D comes in stainless/alum. with a spark arrestor.  That's why I got the RS-4 slipon, and because I couldn't justify paying more
