Gee Debi I haven't been there.  Looks like fun.  Maureen, I know you are on a fullsize bike, but I have an extra DRZ125L, DT50 and a DS80 all sitting in my garage collecting dust.  I was told once to not sell your old bike until you have a new one.  I buy the new ones but don't sell the old ones.  They all have so many memories and I will never get the money I put in them back SO i just keep them and try to convince other people to ride with me.

Thanks JoannP.  Thats a nice offer....I rode my TTR125L this weekend and enjoyed it a bunch.  Brand new tires make such a difference. It was a rain ride and the bike did me right.  The fullsize bike might be overrated!!!  Should be getting my WR back this afternoon though...fingers crossed.  A Northwest trip is sounding better every minute.  :ride: :p   :p

Oh your boys will regret it soon enough hehe. Be glad they're not like my son and wanted to ride 24/7 and race, now look at him, fresh out of a wheelchair, more metal in his body and was told he will never race or do freestyle again. His Doc doesn't even want him on a bike but well he had 2 of his race bikes converted over to SuperMoto to give this a try (yes I am shaking my head).

Fresh out of a wheelchair and wants to try SuperMoto....oh my.  Like Mother like son.  Sometimes I have to say when my boys are sleeping late or in playing video games or sitting around with their girlfriends essentially doing nothing I am perfectly happy...they are safe and sound.  "Don't wake your brother...he is good right there in his bed."

Well girls... (yeah I spaced on the update after doc appt durrrr) Went to my Doc and he shot some Xrays and mri and here is what he found (I was in pain but figured it was just old age) Fractured left Ulna (12mm), bent pelvis plate (2 mm more so I walk a tad more sideways), small fracture upper femur (says it was old but grew 1 mm) and bulging disc (between t12 and L1) bruised lung and other fun bruises hehe.
So yeah.. I guess I slammed pretty hard I guess but I am however old (50) so I will blame age not skill

But after all of this I raced in June and got 3rd then raced last month and got 2nd (yes same track as my local track is still down for us) so not to bad for what had happened and not bad for being the only female lined up with the boys in the 450 intermediate so I am getting faster and better with age hehe.
The one draw back from the last few years after getting back on a bike is all of the broken bones. I mean I am already all beat up from the 98 crash that nearly killed me but WOW... I can barely move in the mornings anymore and my range of motion has dropped of by 23% since the last time my Doc checked so things are really starting to suck in that part of my life but I still have the mind of a 17 year old when it comes to riding.

I have a Doc appt on the 13th of this month (yes the day after my next race) to go over some physical therapy stuff and try and push through the surgeries I need with the damned insurance co.

So wish me luck for my race on the 12th

on the 2nd lap in this race I caught my boot on the curbing after that long fast left hander and twisted my knee and hip Grrrr but I tried to suck it up and finish on the podium .... you can hear me miss shifting due to it grrrrr.

Yes I wore my dirt gear and felt better moving on the bike  The dirt was open but due to the rain we had during the first two practice session we all decided it was to sketchy and dangerous to run that section and it wasn't groomed and the grass you and to cross was like riding on ice so we went pavement only

Here's the dirt section

I hope it is cleaned up for this next round as that grass that leads in off and onto the track is not fun with slicks :/

I don't know what to say Debi, wow, that hurts just to read your diagnosis of all your injuries.    Glad you are still walking and able to ride, but wowzers girl.  Try not to use up all your 9 lives....lol.  At any rate, I do wish you luck for your upcoming race.  Can't wait to hear the details, especially of your win...

TY .... I am just trying to stretch and get more mobility  dang this racing stuff is like hard on your body (me >>> )  If I can get my endurance back I will be happy but that seems to be going as well... I mean 30 + laps in a day kills me now LMAO.

I was so hoping to be out your way at the end of last month for the Evel Knievel days but couldn't make it this year. ope to make it next year and hope you can make that as well

Until the next update hehe... be good and keep it on 2 wheels

I'm better but far from 100% lol... hell I'm old and well move like I'm in my 90's hehe.

But as to the opsies yeah I stayed a tad wide as I wasn't sure if Patrick was going to blitz the inside like he has done before when I have passed so I decided the lap before where to pass and what to do and nope, did't work LMAO.... the track right in that section has grip issues, both the lefts and only good line there he was in and I figured what the hell, I can do this hehe, besides I made up my mind the lap before that this is where I am passing haha. I will say it taught me not to make up my mind LMAO.

Well off to get mani/pedi, race gas, load bike/gear, get ice and BEER and head off to the track for some practice for tomorrows race

Ok..you be careful. :naughty:
I have mainly done MX and the grip issue doesn't make any difference whether you stick it up the inside or the outside, just where ever there is a gap.
I understand from my Ex's road racing days a little about lines and getting in the marbles and stuff.lol :ride:
Though as tempting as it may be ,try to save some of that beer for after the racing and hopefully you don't need to use that ice on yourself.ha ha.
I have seen many of your threads on here, so I am looking forward to seeing your vid from this racing.
go get em.

Oh I only had 5 yesterday at practice hehe. OMG this track layout is NUTS. They changed it up from Thursdays practice as the track first was to utilize the inner dirt track (smaller jumps) but after Poto's younger brother beat the 3 time flat track champ and a 2 time Supermoto champ by 4 seconds they changed it up. Now there is more asphalt to make it a real 50/50 track but OMG.... now we're on the Motox Track and going from pavement to dirt then dirt to pavement then pavement to dirt then dirt to pavement (yeas that's one lap) there is now way to get heat into my tires and it's like riding on ice lol. Hell, you couldn't get the tires cleaned off until just before you go back into the dirt hehe.

Long but fun track and didn't crash YaaaaaY!

Well off to the races hehe
