Our track has been put on hold. Having complaints from the ALR (agricultural land reserve)
Funny how you can turn 100 acres into a horse training area no problem (commercial), but you can't have a one acre dirt bike track (private)!

What kind of complaints? Did somebody complain?

Don't think any neighbors complained, they're all pretty much in on it. But the ALR basically sent a cease and desist order saying the land is for agricultural use only. They did the same thing to another buddy with a private MX track further up the valley. Funny thing is he isn't even on the ALR so the next weekend he was sure to invite lots of extra people to ride, lol.
Ours didn't make much sense as we hadn't even ridden it in awhile at the time, and they couldn't even get there addresses straight, they sent the order to the neighbor, lol. Maybe tires in the ground are too unsitely for the rich city folk building their mansions for there Equestrian centres up the valley that drive by...
We'll figure out what we're going to do by spring.

That is weird. Here where I am I have heard of such things when it came to using "agricultural use" land for commercial events (races, concerts, & etc). But I have never heard of such a thing when it comes to private use. Good luck.
Yeah I agree. Years ago they shut down a track that was being built in the ALR for commercial use, but private shouldn't be an issue. If it was my land, I would have got to the bottom of it by now, but it's a friends. My land isn't in the ALR so no one says boo about me riding my land. For now anyways.....
My land doesn't fare well for an EX track, but an extreme enduro trail is another story, lol.
