Would like to know if any other ladies out there have done some hare scrambles. i am very interested in doing some hare scrambles this year & am looking for any advice anyone can give me. I did one hare scramble last year, but was unable to finish due to bike problems (ended up needing new valves). I think my bad experience last year ( bike not wanting to start & stalling on me) is giving me extra jitters. Any advice??

Just ride to finish.....
Concentrate on making the least amout mistakes, making it through any obstacles as clean as possible and keeping the rubberside down. Your going to fall, your going stall, your going to get tired and you probably wont win but finishing is the single most important accomplishment for a first timer. This is my fiances first year racing and she has entered 3 races and finished 3 races.

This is my 3rd year racing harescrambles..... Bark busters are a must!! Ive seen people not finish because they broke a lever off. Dont come off the start line like you would in a moto race... remember you have to ride for 1-2 hours. Steady and consistient in the key... start the race like you will finish it. Rest in the straight aways, attack in the woods. Camel backs are nice esp if its a dusty course. Good Luck!!!
