I would love some tips! I have an 01 yz250f and am having a hard time with it. I started riding 2 years ago with an 03 tt-r125 and now I'm having a hard time adjusting to a full size bike. The height is really throwing me off and I'm having a hard time with the whole decompression/kick starting it thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Genuinegirl. You use the auto decompresoor to get the poston to top dead center (hardest part of the stroke) then give it a firm even kick. My ladys tiny at 5'4.5" so shes grown quite the leg kicking her 250 2 stroke over but shes got it down. And adjusting to your bike lowering links or shortening the shock shaft are great ways to make the bike fit you. Possibly even bar change and seat change. I can go into more depth if need be. **** also with your 250f your valves need to be kept properly Adjusted for easy starting

Install a 03 exhaust cam. Manual decomp lever can be removed after that. Makes it a automatic compression release.

A properly adjusted 250f should start with a hamsters kick. The key to any bike kick is even delivery tdc and the right amount of power to hard of a kick can make them not start
