klx 300 coil

Tested ignition coil with an ohm meter and got 0.1 reading between terminals and 4.3 from high tension and ground. Heated coil with heat gun and watched readings climb. Assumed coil bad, purchased new one and it does same thing!  Am I doing something wrong?  Thanks for your replies.
