8am is perfect time to be there, we start doing sign ups at 8 and first ride goes out at 9am.  Helmet, Long Pants, Closed Toe Shoes, Motorcycle Endorsement are all REQUIRED to ride. I rode all day today so I will probably be the one that scans your drivers license and signs you up tomorrow.

If you wanna shoot me your name, I will try to keep an eye out for you tomorrow!!

I'll see you there as well, Doug. Looking forward to it. Thanks again!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I just read this.  I'd love to do something like that.  I live in Alpine and went riding yesterday.  I would have loved to have gone there and done a test ride.  Any chance you'll be doing another demo day anytime soon?

That was a blast!!! The Ninja 1000 did it for me. The ZX-10r was the least comfortable. Doug & I went out to take the ZX-14r out for a cruise. WoW!!! Thanks again for the hospitality, Doug!!

Those demo rides are a must for motorcycle enthusiast.

That's okay...you didn't miss much.  Just ask Cesar and Scott, it sucked.  A fleet of motorcycles at your disposal for multiple 30 minute test rides...LAME!!!

Good News!!!   Yes...we will be doing another demo this weekend.

Bad News!!!  It will be in Seattle.

It was my pleasure, glad it was a good time and glad to meet you guys.

A super big THANK YOU goes out to Cesar for your hospitality, even though I am completely lame and breathing up other peoples perfectly good oxygen...since I wasn't able to make it out Friday night.  I FAIL!!

As far as taking you for a ride on the 14, I completely disavow any knowledge whatsoever of anything you are talking about.  In fact...who is this?  I'm not sure I even know you!!!

Uisge have you ridden the Z1000? If so, what are your thoughts?

Maybe Scott and Cesar wanna give their opinions on the Z1000, so you can get some input from someone that doesn't work for Kawasaki.

What are the chances of the event like this happening in Tri-State area? I want to demo ride the Versys.

No worries. I thought I'd include you in my night of MILF watching/mingling for the evening. :p In fact, I witnessed 1 or 2 MILF fights during the evening's show. Women jockeying to position themselves to get close to the action, you know how that goes.

Ha ha!! My lips are sealed, so those of you who wants to know how the ZX-14R rides, you guys will need to find out for yourselves.

Anyhow, here's a quick review of each of the bikes I demo'd. We got to take each of the bikes we chose on a guided route, almost 20 miles in distance which consisted of a good freeway distance, and some side roads along the coast.

Please feel free to ask any questions about them.

Test ride #1, Ninja 1000. Very light, maneuverable, smooth and fast. Surprisingly, very comfortable. Not your normal crotchrocket seating position. Suspension was plush. This one takes you up to triple digit speeds with no effort.
Posted Image
Test ride #2, Z1000.Very light & nimble, easy to flick around almost like a motard bike. Shorter gearing than the Ninja 1000, which made it seem more torquey. Smooth motor & transmission. Suspension felt stiffer than the Ninja 1000.
Posted Image
Test ride #3, ZX-10R. Very quick & fast. This is a racebike, and it felt like a racebike compare to the previous ones so far. It felt like the motor/transmission wasn't as smooth as the 2 previous bikes. Stiffer suspension. All I could think of is my back, wrists, and the family jewels. I don't think I can have anymore kids after riding this one! Only if I could use it strictly on the racetrack. I don't think I can really give this one a good report without taking it to a racetrack where you can fully find out it's full potential.
Posted Image
Test ride #4, Ninja ZX-14R. Wow!! This was the biggest/fastest bike in the Kawasaki fleet, and by far the fastest bike I have ever ridden. Very smooth & surprisingly fairly nimble, and light considering it's a big bike. Like I mentioned previously, I'm not saying anything more. You will need to find out for yourselves what the capability of this bike is if anyone will allow you to. :ride:
Test ride #5, KLR 650. After riding the ones before, this one felt like a trainwreck!! It lacked that quick acceleration that my DRZ even had. I think I got this one up to about 90 mph, trying to catch up to the guide on the freeway on-ramp. I must admit, it was a very comfy ride though, but the serious buffeting has got to go. Sounded like there were some loose marbles rattling inside my helmet from the wind. A taller windshield would have to be in placed.

Out of the 5 bikes I test rode last Sunday, my favorite was the Ninja 1000. It felt like it's the bike that you can do some serious sportriding in, as well as some touring. The seating position was very comfortable. The motor & transmission was smooth.

2nd in line was the Z1000. It is a naked bike, so you do feel that wind on your chest the whole time. I would put a larger windshield, if it's available,  if I wanted to do some long highway riding/touring on it.

The riding position was almost identical to my Ninja 650R, which is pretty comfy for all day riding. The speed and brakes were great. There weren't enough curves on the ride to really test how it handled but I don't think I would have been let down. Everything I've read about it says it's one of the best bargains out there, liter bike power at 600cc price with good components.

You know...I thought about that afterward, I should have put you on the "Killer" first before your perspective got all jaded and googly eyed   with the other bikes.  If you notice I did try to put you on a gradual transition from a familiar SM riding position starting with the Ninja and the "Z" and progressed all the way to the "14".
