First, this is probably a subjective topic, like what tires feel the best to you.

Personally, I rate through-the-bars vibration on my 2009 CRF-450X as a 5.
Pretty much as I'd have expected it.
It never bothers me, and I forget about any vibration while riding the bike, and I only actually feel it or think about it while warming up the engine, for example.
Feels very much normal to me.

Now, if you want to turn the subject to something like, Rate, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much your idling CRF-450X engine sounds like someone shaking a bucket of bolts, and I'd probably give it a higher rating.

I agree, all I know is it vibrates a lot less than the other bikes I owned. All 2 strokes.

Don't even think about bar vibration on the trail. Does buzz when I'm on the street between trails with stock gearing at 50 mph, so I'd give it a 5.

The first time I heard a 450x idle, I was really shocked, as most people seem to be. I'd give it a 9. Haven't heard anything worse sounding that didn't need a bearing or two replaced.

agree with Krannie on the DRZ , my DRZ is a 2

my 450X @ 9000 klm is a 7 , this is why i ask the question .

i have covered all the areas of causes apart from examining the bottom end of the motor

at 120 views i hoped for more input

my good friends ktm 620 was 11/10 , it was so bad i had to take my feet off the pegs

You have to remember it is a more highly strung motor then the drz.

The vibration is normal, so don't worry about it.

If you want to reduce / eliminate it there are two great choices:

Flexx Bars

Anti-vibration inserts
