So how does a non-member come up for a day pass? Is there any way to tell that a member will be there and the parking lot won't be full before making the drive up from Denver? How would we be able to get into the gate if it's locked at all times?
LOTS of rules you don't normally see for an mx track... I'm guessing this is on public land?
Thanks

Yes, the track is on County land. A lot of trails have been closed recently in this area....and this was an agreement between the Summit County Off Road Riders and the County to provide an area for dirt bikers. There are a lot of different rules because is it funded and maintained on a strictly non-profit basis. Basically, we were given the opportunity to build a track if we said we could manage and maintain it. It is not manned on a daily basis, so therefore its members basically manage it. The parking lot is never really full and if you want to come up and take a ride, shoot us an email - tenderfoottrackclub@yahoo.com and we can try and get some members to meet up with you. A member would have to open the gate for you. And it is only $100 for a membership for the whole season (no daily fee).

I sent an email to make sure there would be at least one member there to let us in on Saturday morning. There are at least 4 of us that want to ride and check it out; hopefully you guys will have somebody around. $100 is a heck of a deal for a year's membership, but we'd like to try out the track 1st.

You guys have an awesome riding spot up there! Thanks for having us!
I couldn't imagine how fun it would be once you have the capability to water the track as needed. It's a shame it's so dry up in the mountains right now.
