i replaced the vavles, seals, and keepers in my 09 along with a new piston kit. i got everything together, but when i turn the crank over, it is a little bit harder to push down in one spot in the rotation? if i use the kick starter it doesn't feel right? maybe my timing could be off by 1 tooth? i think im dead on with timing. any ideas? thanks.
strange feel after new top end?

what i can tell you is that mine did the same thing for the most part, if not similar.. i havent broken it in yet either so i wouldnt know if it goes away. onto the timing.... does it start?
and then just to clarify it for you if needed. you should have two dots on each cam... two line up with the top of the head (with the gasket off) and then the intake one will be literally on the very top, the exhaust top dot will look like its slightly angled to the right (back of motor). if you have that you should be good. and count the cam chain pins too, starting from the first one you see next to the exhaust cam and the last one should be right next to the intake. there should be 28 showing.
if you need anything else just ask.

Awesome thanks man, i havnt tried starting it yet, i was a little bit worried about this. But ill give it another look tomorrow. I knew about the dots on the cams, but i didnt know about the exhaust being slightly to the right. I appreciate it.

she started! runs good and sounds good too. im just waiting on the little o-ring that goes between the cam cap and the head, i seemed to have lost it, so i put a little bit of copper gasket stuff to make somewhat of a seal, runs good though!

youre welcome, when you go to put that oring back in put a light coat of grease on it.... our bikes tend to leak a little bit out of there even with the ring there.
