Thanks for all the tips . I was trying to put some to use . The SUMO position was awesome . I found that sweet spot on the bike where it felt I wasn't fighting it .
I didnt take it to any tracks this weekend . I did find a arroyo and had some fun there .later, I went into the mountains and Found my self in a tight spot .
ME ,my riding buddy and a 20 year veteran started up this "crazy" boulder/rocky trail that was pretty intense . I was in front and holy crap was that a experience .
those  boulders and large rocks were throwing me around and I was at such an incline that there was no turning back . I didnt notice "Johnny" my riding buddy and the veteran"Dustin" stopped a while back due to how rough it got and all that was in my head was "keep my butt on the bike" . i found my self looking dead at a larger boulder and in that second I decided that I would hit the throttle and try to climb it . soon as my rear tire grabbed that rock it flew me forward like no other and I cleared the boulder in front . I put my left foot down to regain control because I was just feet away from falling off the edge of the mountain and my foot kicked back and the knobbie in the rear got my foot ,sucking me in , pulling me from the bike and down I went .
I broke the shifter lever and bent the bars . walked away with "boulder rash" on my side and a skinned foot and a scratched up ,throbbing shin .
thank goodness i had friends around . they got where I was on foot and helped me out . I was able to coast the bike down from a different trail and a day later I'm okay .but i tell ya , being sore is an understatement "but" I know that this comes with the territory .
first thing this morning I went and got handlebars and realigned the front . have to wait for the shift lever but will be ready to go by this next weekend . I also got some boots .

Wow, sounds awesome, and not-so-awesome at the same time. But that's why I was stressing earlier that you should get some pads. Ur probably gonna crash just about every time you ride, and you don't want to always be walking off the track in that much pain. Not wearing pads will just get you less seat time, cuz ur gonna be sore, not from a long day of riding, but from cuts, bad bruises, and torn off skin. And that sucks. My knee pads and elbow pads were between $15-30. I can't quite remember, but I'll tell ya that cheap pads are WAAAAAY BETTER than nothing. Well aside from my rant, It's good to see that you learned something new, and you got some new boots! Would they happen to be a pair of Alpinestar boots?

Cool Video.  The smiles are what it is all about.

One word of advise.  When you start riding in boots, you will hate it at first.  They will feel stiff and you will have problems shifting up and down and you wont be able to feel the brake pedal.  You will accidently hit brakes and you will get frustrated.  This is all normal and every one of us had this the first time we put on a good set of quality boots.  You wont think so but you will get used to it.  Eventually you will wont want to ride with out them.

Yeah it was great .even though it ended in that way, its a story to tell . i will definitely be looking into some pads . Every weekend something happens and I must be sick in the head because all it does is make me want to go for more , more air , more seat time .just allot more .
i got some shift boots .

Looks like you're having a good time man.  Keep it up.  Good music choices as well.  I don't know if I am a fan of the way the camera is mounted though.

It definitely looks like you are looking more comfortable on the bike.  Keep riding and more seat time.  Good Video.
