Anyone have one on there's?
I have one but need an intake to make it fit.
Engines only is the only one I can find that has them but they will not sell them separately.

If you have one on yours what mods did you do to make it fit?

Thanks!

I'm doing two carb projects; putting a flat slide on a Montesa 2T and a CV carb on a XR200.  For the Montesa I'm using a carb  from a 2T which reduces jetting issues.   For the XR I'm using a 4T carb for the same reason.  Most of the flat slide carbs that I've found are spigot mount but one small enough for the CRF150 will be too small to fit the CRF230 manifold.  That locks you in to the Engines Only solution or a lot of fab time. I'll start a thread when I get further along.

When you guys are talking flat slide carb....do you mean the Keihin PWK 28mm, the ones that come on the 2 stroke 85cc?

Chuck 4788 I have a few ideas and am definitely going to make something work.
It's unbelievable engines only is much charging $265 for there intake When you buy there carb and intake kit.
I bought a brand new keihin pwk 28mm carb for $85 from a dealer with my discount.

It appears you need a couple more parts than just an intake manifold. Copied this from the Engines Only website:
CRF 150 28mm Flat Slide Intake Kit (Lineawaever Design) Includes Carb. /cable /intake manifold and K&N filter or stock type air box boot. Works great with our 2006-2011 225 big bore kit.

My XR200 carb conversion isn't much different than a CRF150 because; stock carb is a flange mount, new is a spigot. Carb length is different as well as inlet bell diameter. Also need new cable and cable mount on carb.  So a carb conversion is not an easy task which can justify the kit cost.  Fortunately for me there are shops in my area that can supply materials, do welding,  have an inventory of cables to chose from, and can modify or build custom cables.  And I have a lathe to machine manifolds and air boot adapters.

I suggest reading the "Edison approach to alternative XR carbs" in the XR250/400 forum. http://www.thumperta...ve-xr400-carbs/

IMO using a 2T carb on a 4T is not a good idea, too many mods required to get the jetting sorted out, best to start with a 4T carb.

Ok here's what I ended up doing.
I used a RM 85 intake since it has the same size intake for the carb.
Flipped it upside down so the carb will still be in an up right position.
Cut off the excess meat that I don't need and drilled new mounting holes to mount to the motor.
Intake was a little larger than the intake on the head so I got it Ported.
Big thanks to MBR, Mad Brothers Racing.com for the port and polish job!!
I'm still waiting for the new cam to come in to put it all back together, then need to screw around with jetting.

RM 85 intake.
CR, KX, YZ should all be the same.
